The Medicines for Human Use (Administration and Sale or Supply) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Order 2006 Made 19th October 2006, laid before Parliament 26th October 2006 and came into force 17th November 2006 this states:

“Article 4(2) and (4) of the newly agreed statute amends Parts I and III of Schedule 5 to the Prescription Only Medicines (Human Use) Order 1997 (the POM Order) to extend the list of prescription and pharmacy only medicines which may be sold, supplied or administered by chiropodists and podiatrists in the course of their professional practice.” (SOCP D J Ashcroft/users/medicines Feb 2007)

I would like to hear comments and experiences of podiatrist who are already prescribing and of those who are at present updating.
