    Hello,

I am currently a Bachelor of Health science student at AUT and I will be enrolling in the Bachelor of Podiatry next year the more I find about it the more I think it's the right pathway for me. Just keen to link up when anyone who has done the course to get an idea of the content how the assignments and placement are structured etc.

I have been looking on the net etc and there seems to not be many jobs but I am told there are a shortage of podiatrist is this because most students find work through clinical placements? please put my mind at ease

Also wondering if their were any particular organizations or clinics with well established new graduate programmes that supported (and potentially paid for) ongoing training.

    Hey,

Employments not much better in the UK either. I'm a Pod student myself, and am thinking of moving to Singapore or Canada to do podiatry, prospects are so much better there.

    Hello,

Well I am always looking and those link were very helpful thank you.

It looks like their are lots of job opportunities in Australia and many N.Z new graduates I have spoken to have moved over there. I need to get into the workforce soon so have now been looking at the option of doing a traineeship to become a podiatry assistant with still the long term aim being to qualify as a podiatrist. So might be a bit longer before I am practicing but would love to keep in touch from someone working in the field and the options in other countries. Thanks vey much for replying.
