I am trying to log into the new SCP website members area, my login details are recognised as I get the welcome message on the screen but when I try to get into to members area I get the 'log in required' message along side a message telling me the details of my last visit (which resulted in the same problem, I haven't made it onto the site yet!). I tried calling the SCP but the lady I need to speak to is away until next week. Has anyone had simiar problems? If so, how did you resolve the issue? Any help would be very welcome!

Yes - in my case it's because I had an old membership number. I emailed the SCP - they cancelled my attempt and then I had to re-register with the website and prefix my 5 digit number with 00. It worked perfectly after that.

Ah right, it may be that then. Might have to wait for them to 'de-register' me if that's the case. Thanks for your reply :)

Don't even get me started on our society and its fancy new website...

Admittedly I have some slightly different issues - it will not let me change/edit my practice phone numbers (and they do not marry up with my practice addresses since the information was transferred over from the old site). Also, despite allowing you to enter several practice addresses it will only actually show the first 2 on the online directory. So if the public do a search on feet for life they can only find 2 of my clinics, and both of those have incorrect phone numbers, so they'd struggle to call in any case.

I first registered this issue in mid November 2010. Yep, thats right, over 5 months ago.

I've had to chase it up 3 times in this period. The last 'answer' I received was that my complaint had been passed onto the database support team who have scheduled work to resolve the problems at the beginning of May.

Ladies and gentlemen... I give you our ever helpful Society...

Ah... I have e-mailed the lady regarding this problem previously after failing to get her on the phone and have received no reply. I'll need to be a bit more vigilant in my 'chasing up' of the issue then! Thanks for your reply.

I can sympathise with one & all about the Society's 'wunnerful glossy website. It was explained to me also that us ole timers with short membership numbers do have to add a couple of 0s. Would def say you have to get on the blower cos email replies do sometimes take a while. Those people we pay such large membership fees to employ do appear to take long lunch breaks!

Yep, had to prefix with an extra '0' and it's working fine now. Ended up phoning as my e-mail went unanswered for the second time, have to say the woman on the phone's manner could have been better though... Thanks for the advice!
