With great affection to the mods/admins of this site, why-o-why do we have some ginger-haired fellow wearing a Roman legionnaires costume in the picture at the top of this page?

Having spent time at the great Colloseum of Rome, this fellow doesn't...ahem....add to the asthetics of an otherwise brilliant vista!

Trust you to put your caligula in it. The ginger in the metal fatiques is Caesar Craig Payne. Emporer of the Arena.

Tsk tsk, throw that man to the to the feral cats of the colloseum.

Off to St Petersburg and Moscow, next year, after I spend some time in Dublin and the Isle of Man.

    Quo vadis ?

Don't listen to him CP, I think you look beeyootiful in your uniform... :D And as I have already mentioned, I will be very upset when the banner does go back to boring, I mean, normal! ;)

  5. Here are a few men that I'm sure deserve to be placed up on the Arena banner.

As mentioned in the previous discussion on this:
    Podiatry Arena Changes and Enhancements
    Tylomus Minimus

...it will be gone soon - it was going to be gone before the w/end, but there are more things going on behnd the scenes that have delayed the design changes (the software upgrade changes have happened).

I have had to go as far as turn of posting by new members for a few days due to a huge amount of porn images being posted (which many of you have noticed and reported). The automated bots that do this have already breached the security protocols that supposed to keep them at bay .... we just busy dealing with that at the moment.

They are none other than Brian (on the left) and Ed (on the right)

  9. Sorry Donna, Craig beat me to the punch on that one. Hope you have enjoyed the book.:)

Do you reckon they would pose in costume for the official photos, because it wouldn't be fair if CP had all the fun... :p

And yes that book is awesome, I've been using it heaps... not like those boring biochemistry and pharmacology textbooks that I had at uni... ;)

The only reason CP added the picture was that the software default one is not very good. I think he thought it would be gone by now with the new design changes. I did speak to him a couple of hours ago and there had been about a dozen spam sign ups just in the morning, so resolving these technical security issues to keep the site clean and free of the spam is a priority. The design changes may be a few days away yet.

As an Administrator, the software upgrade has massively improved things for us in the background. Spam can be detected and deleted quicker. Things like the merging and splitting of threads is much easier. Tracking of IP addresses to monitor multi-account users is real easy now.

On the front end you should have seen some changes such as the ability to multiquote in replies.

We who are about to die (or be banned), salute you dear Caesar Craigus Payneus !

    Crestula postula qom minimum!

Well I guess that's me banned!

Give my best to Dublin's fair City, where the Girls are so pretty.....

    Presumably lecturing my dear Cameron?

Me?....spent most of last week holding a vomit bucket for my (Far) better half...the minor procedure Stephanie had was easy....the Anaesthesia was BRUTAL!
It has shown me the shear work involved in Washing Clothes, Baking, doing the shopping etc... I have a renewed respect for our dear Wives, who put up with us, whilst maintaining a home, working, listening to us, indulging our whimsical fancies etc etc.....
Having met your dear Wife, I feel more for Mrs. K than most !!!!:D

Have a great trip, and if poss. post some pictures of St.petersburg here....I'd love to see them....honestly...
