Anyone has any idea where I can learn on total contact casting or below knee casting?
Thank you all for your time!

There are no "courses" on it.

    Generally, you have to:
    1. Read up about it and be familar with it, then
    2. Find someone who uses them and observe some being done, then
    3. Put several on under supervision.

In the UK they often have workshops on Total Contact Casting at Diabetic Foot Conferences.

One very good source of information is your local plaster technicians/orthopods.

TCC is still regarded as the GOLD STANDARD in the uk for off loading plantar pressures in ulcerated Diabetic Feet, but there are other ways to do this such as.

'Scotch Cast' Boots, 'Soft Cast' Slippers, 'AirCast type devices.

    Hope that this helps.

Maybe someone reading this will set up a course, there would be lots of takers !!

    Miss Gangrene

As you live in Sydney, I might suggest hooking up with Ian Reid, who is likely to be able to give you practical instruction on TCC's.
