Old argument but do you prefer old U2 or new U2 (joshua tree being the cut off)

    cheers
    JB

  10. No real preference, depends on how the mood takes me. You have to view the records as groups of 3 to make sense of them:

    1. Boy, October, War (under a blood red sky)
    2. Unforgettable fire, Joshua tree, rattle and hum
    3. Achtung baby, zooropa, pop
    4. All that you cant leave behind, how to dismantle an atomic bomb, no line on the horizon

  11. Thinking ahead as I like too, Does anyone have an X band. I have always used stuff from my collection in this list and for Z I will steal from my wifes, but X nothing I´ve got an X
1st name for a singer but no last. Ive found a band to put in from listening to them on Youtube but not a big fan to be honest

  12. x-ray spex
    XTC

  13. I did think you would have one ......

  14. And one of the ones I found

11 o'clock tick tock- looks like somewhere during the small venue gigs they did pre elevation tour but it could be more recent- saw them at the Astoria (audience = 1000= immense- full on old school without several thousand dick-heads watching the gig through the lens of their mobile phones- don't get it- never will, don't complain that I'm pushing into you at the front of a U2 concert- get rid of the boom so we can feel the crush- rant over)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Is6R7l-8M9U&feature=related
    A celebration
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VP_MDdPnY8

What do these single releases have in common?

Just a quickie, My dad met Slash from GNR on more than one occasion ( dad used to work with his uncle and he got them reacquainted after many years apart!)

Slash asked my Dad who his favourite guitarist was ever, dad replied Rory Gallagher, and Slash Agreed!

  24. I love the sound of Velvet revolver but always think it pretty funny when you consider the history of the band.

Slash etc G´n´R- did not get well with the front man, thought he was unreliable and much much more in stronger language.

Set up ne band Velvet Revolver- get Scott Weiland of STP ( In my top 10 fave bands) as lead singer different voice that axel but they come from a similar mold.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for your personal message on how to attach You Tube videos to posts. I've just tried twice to send a reply to you and each time there has been a problem. I shall therefore give in gracefully. Thanks again.

Think I'll stick to just browsing.
