I recently started working for 2 podiatrists and found this site while looking for something else. I am a family nurse practitioner and certified diabetes educator. I believe this is an exciting specialty that I can be involved in as well as bring in components of family practice. Are there any NP's that have any tips on some of the transitions needed to change my focus to more specialized practice?

Welcome Lou - we have a number of nurses here who have contributed to disucssions. PodRN and Aquaped come to mind - there are some others and I apologise to them as I can't remember their names :(

BTW - tell your bosses about this forum and get them to contribute :)
