Podiatry Position- Sports Medicine- Qatar, Middle East

An outstanding opportunity to work in a purpose built Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Hospital.

‘Aspetar’- Qatar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital is in the process of expanding its service, and are looking for more Podiatrists to join our team.
This is a brand new facility which is designed to be state of the art and provide the absolute highest level of service possible to Qatar Olympic Committee athletes and be the hub of the National Sports Medicine Program.

Sports Podiatry is a new field in the Middle East and this is a chance to be at the forefront. The vast majority of the work is Biomechanical, and research would be encouraged.

The ideal candidate would demonstrate the following-
    - Podiatry degree with current registration
    - a special interest or experience in the area of Sports Podiatry and/or Biomechanics
    - some experience in research (such as an Honours degree by research)
    - excellent clinical skills
    - the ability to work as part of a team
    - the ability to manufacture and adjust orthoses- (there is much scope for training on manufacturing technique. The most important thing is to know that you have the willingness to learn the fine art of grinding and adjusting orthoses)
    - an Arabic speaker would be viewed very favourably

This is an unique opportunity to work in a multinational team environment with a wide variety of athletes and sports.

This position offers competitive salary, commensurate with experience, with the bonus of accommodation, medical coverage, flights home annually and is TAX FREE

If you are interested, please forward your CV or questions to Craig Tanner, Senior Podiatrist

Just a quick note to say, we are still receiving CV's for this position.
My signature has a link to the Hospital's new website which is still very basic, but can give you an idea of what sort of place we have here.
We do some work with Aspire Academy , and are located in Aspire Zone or 'Sports City'
It is worth looking at their websites, although the second one is a little out of date.

In addition to the above position, we are also now looking for a junior Podiatrist to join our team.
We are looking for a new or recent graduate that has a special interest in sports, biomechanics and orthoses.
The position has all of the same benefits listed above...
Salary would be in the region of USD55 000/year, is tax free, and, in addition to this, accomodation is provided.
This is a unique opportunity to learn and develop.
If you are interested, please forward your CV or questions to Craig Tanner, Senior Podiatrist
