The perfect position to "cast" the foot in

Discussion in 'Biomechanics, Sports and Foot orthoses' started by Simon Spooner, Dec 17, 2010.

  1. Phil, thanks for playing. So, low resistance = ? high resitance = ?
How low is a low lateral heel cup?
How much more flexible is the shell?

    etc etc etc.

Low resistance = arch raises with minimal 'lift'
High resistance = arch does not budge
Don't ask me to describe some where in the middle - a quantitative measurement tool is needed

    Heel cup = 0mm
The shell is made flexible enough to deform when two finger pressure to the area results in a flexing of the shell by 10mm 'ish!

As I always say 'If it quacks like a duck etc'. These feel right but are experienced based at best.
