Hi there, has anyone completed the open book exam for NZ registration? Wondering what it entails and if there is a list of books out there somewhere that you need. Have come from UK with no text books....which would have been pretty outdated anyway! Thanks for your help, Anna.

    Hey Anna,

I sat the exam last year and it's more to do with cultural awareness. They send you an email with all the reading material in attachments so no need for books.

Let me know if there is anything else you need, would be glad to help.

    Cheers,

    Mike.

yes Im afraid so, its an absolute disgrace and would appear just a money collecting exercise. the nz podiatry board should be ashamed.

That is a real a real shame! :craig: Of all the places I thought that would be free from the money making ethos I thought NZ would have been top 5 at least. Well frustrating as it is i'll have to work around it! Perhaps you could recommend they take and extra 1% tax off me fore 3 years and let me poodle along at my own rate (Chances are i'd knock it out in a weekend any how lol)

I've just completed it. It's a joke. Poorly written, and hard to read (change the font please). Being a kiwi I'm embarrassed that overseas registrants have to pay $1100 for this BS. A one day first aid course cost me $160, so how does it equate when this could all be taught in half a day? Utter rubbish
